Jõgeva linna elanik invasportlane Endre Varik saavutas IPC sisekergejõustiku maailmamängudel Rootsis Bollnäsis kaugushüppes esimese koha tulemusega 5.15, mis on ühtlasi noormehe isiklik rekord.
- aasta kergejõustiku EM-il saavutas Endre 5. koha tulemusega 4.84. Esimest korda korraldas rahvusvaheline Paraolümpiakomitee (IPC) sisekergejõustiku ülemaailmsed mängud eesmärgiga arendada välja IPC maailmameistrivõistlused sisekergejõustikus. Mängud toimusid 22.-27.märtsini 2006 Rootsis Bollnäsi linnas.
